Kodak "Memories"

Came across a brilliant commercial spot for Kodak. Produced by Über Content Directed by Cole Webley. I've been a fan of Über for a while now. The growing list of directors keeps growing and getting better. Kudos's! I love how this spot communicates how pictures, quite literally, transform you in such a charming way.

Epic Corporate Sales Reel

Photographer and filmmaker Jay Yao created this Canon 60D sales reel showing off the array of special features on the Canon 60D. I wanted to share this because I’m attracted to how the story is character driven. I think that when you reach into the human element and connect with people through stories, you can appeal to a very primal part of a person’s core. I think Yao did an exceptional job, he not only made the product information interesting, but he gave me a reason to want to keep watching and reminded me how beautiful photography can be. I know I needed a 60D after watching it, thank god I already have one! Whew!

Easy Slow Motion Tutorial (Canon 60D)

In fear that this blog is staying dangerously off course into the direction of production based articles, thus opening up a whole new dilemma of endless debates. I fear not in saying that this is (at least for now) a post production related tutorial. I wanted to test out a feature that I’ve never used for my Canon 60D, and wanted to find a quick, painless tutorial to get me there. I came across shotondsir’s tutorial on youtube. He uses a 7D, I used my 60D… The same results. Enjoy.

I came across this music video recently, I really loved the brilliant color pallet, and the use of simple optical effects. It mixes well with a pretty straightforward performance scene. It's a good song and well directed. Check it out! Cheers!
